During the 2012-2013 academic year, the Office of Undergraduate Admissions offered me and five other students the opportunity to attract prospective students to SUNY New Paltz with weekly blog posts about academics, extra-curricular activities, campus employment, residence life, the surrounding town, and more. Each post interweaves various multimedia with personal writing to expose our unique experiences at SUNY New Paltz.

The Materials of History, Thought, and Art

As part of a SUNY New Paltz Honors Seminar, "The Materials of History, Thought and Art," I collaborated with the eleven other students in my class to present visual-verbal object analysis in a multitude of forms, from simple Wordpress blog posts on personal items to an Omeka digital exhibit "Storied Objects: A Material History of New Paltz." The project not only sharpened existing Wordpress and overall professional writing expertise, but offered unique contact with the art of historical narratives.

Each and every one of these exhibits includes careful detail and enriching historical context. My exhibits are the New Paltz Composition Book and Pat and George's Button..
